Paper Box Studios

Project Description:

The Paper Box Studios was Cobalt’s first venture outside of the 270 Sherman Complex, the Imperial Cotton Factory. A building owner, connected to one of our tenants approached us with a stellar property at 468 Cumberland Ave., just outside the stunning Gore Park.

The building had incredible bones, soaring high ceilings and a working vintage freight elevator. In less than a year the building was converted into two floors of photography, print and recording artists spaces, and still serves the creative community to this day. The buildings name came from its industrial past as the Tressider Brother Paper Box Company.
